Why weak-topic revision beats blind mocks

Most aspirants attempt 200+ mocks but don't revise wrong answers. Here's a smarter loop.

It feels productive to finish a mock test, write down your score, and immediately schedule the next one. However, this 'blind' mock strategy quickly plateaus your score.

The real improvements happen when you stop testing and start fixing. Here is why revising your weak areas is the fastest shortcut to success.

1. The blind mock trap

Taking mock after mock without fixing underlying concepts only cements your mistakes. If you struggle with Profit & Loss, taking 10 more mocks will only confirm that you struggle with it.

2. Setting up the revision log

Create a simple Excel sheet or physical notebook where you track every wrong answer. Categorize errors into: Concept Missing, Silly Mistake, or Time Out.

3. 3-step error analysis

For every incorrect response: First, solve it without a timer. Second, check the detailed explanation to learn the shortest method. Third, find 5 similar problems and solve them instantly.

4. Weekly progress reviews

Spend your Sunday mornings going through the revision log. Re-attempt the exact questions you got wrong earlier. Once you solve a logged mistake correctly twice, remove it from the list.
